The DENIN Ambassadors are sponsoring the fourth annual DENIN student video competition during the month of April — Earth Month at UD. This year, the competition will be a social media event.
Who is eligible: Undergraduate students at UD
How to enter: Create a video up to 30 seconds long depicting an action or actions you have taken to make your daily life more environmentally sustainable and to be an example for others. Post the video on the social media platform of your choice: Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter. Be sure to include the hashtag #BeTheChangeUD.
If you choose to post your video on Facebook, please note that you must designate that the post is “public” rather than just for your friends and followers. Alternatively, you can post your video on DENIN’s Facebook page: facebook.com/DENINUD
Deadline: Only videos posted before midnight on April 24 will be considered for prizes.
Some more rules: Only one video entry per person. Please note that the video should contain only original, copyright free material. By posting a video using our contest hashtag, you are agreeing to give DENIN permission to repost the video on DENIN social media and web outlets, including our Facebook and Twitter feeds, YouTube playlist, and website.
Prizes: All entries will be judged by the DENIN Ambassadors. Winners will be announced by April 29. A total of up to $500 in prizes will be awarded, with the top prize of a $150 Visa gift card going to the best overall video based on quality, creativity, and depiction of theme.
The remaining prize pool will be divided into additional awards for categories yet to be determined but based somewhat on the number and quality of entries received. For example, awards may be given for best sustainability idea, best use of special effects, most humorous, etc. Be creative and try to make your video stand out!
