The DENIN Ambassadors are pleased to announce their fourth annual environmental video competition. The theme of this year’s competition is “My Changing Environment.” Videos entered in the competition should reflect a personal journey by the filmmaker, including observations they've made about their environment through their lifetime.
Students may work in teams to create a video, but one student must be designated as the producer/director and entrant. That person will submit the video and receive any prize — division of the prize among team members will be at the discretion of the team leader/producer.
Entries should be original digital videos up to 30 seconds long and should be posted on Twitter along with the hashtag #LCEfestivalUD. Videos must be submitted in .mov format by 5:00 p.m. on March 25, 2016.
A panel of judges will select the top videos, which will be screened as part of UD’s “Lights, Camera, EARTH!” environmental film festival, April 8-10, where the winners will be announced and the prizes awarded.
Prizes will be awarded for the top three videos. Videos will be judged based on the following criteria:
All entries must be accompanied by an entry form signed by the producer/director that certifies that all video content is original, non-copyrighted material (or provide proof that permission to use copyrighted material was obtained). Failure to abide by copyright restrictions will result in disqualification of the entry.
Entrants must also agree to allow DENIN to screen their videos at the “Lights, Camera, EARTH!” film festival and post their videos or links to their videos via electronic media outlets, including our webpages, YouTube channel, and social media accounts.
Videos and accompanying entry forms should be submitted via UD Dropbox to Beth Chajes (firstname.lastname@example.org) by the deadline on March 25. Videos should also be posted on Twitter using the hashtag #LCEfestivalUD by March 25. Questions regarding the competition may be directed to Beth at (302) 831-6163.
