DENIN fosters a core group of faculty who contribute to the Institute’s research, education, and leadership. Faculty Fellows serve as valuable advisors and ambassadors across campus. As part of their two-year term, Fellows participate in the strategic planning and activities of DENIN, and develop a unique initiative related to their personal, professional, and/or research interests.

Initiatives

As part of their position, Faculty Fellows develop and lead an initiative that helps DENIN accomplish its mission in environmental research and education. Initiatives must connect with the needs of the larger environmental community and align with DENIN’s strategic direction.

Support Provided

Fellows receive up to $15,000 annually, with year two funds contingent on adequate progress towards the Fellow’s initiative. Funds can be used to augment salary, support students, purchase supplies, or for other uses as approved by the DENIN Director.

    Responsibilities

    Faculty Fellows will regularly report on their initiative, attend internal and external meetings, and work with the DENIN team on strategic plans and communications efforts.
